A Blog Journal of a Team of students from Si Ling Secondary School who has taken the challenge of building an un-powered glider to compete in Singapore Flying Machine Competition
team achieve slide1 Elvina:Good morning sir and maam,we are from siling secondary school Team Achieve.i'm elvina, she xui qing,he azrul,he klein and finally our team captain derek.we are here to present to u our lastest design glider.
Slide 3: We decided to use the V-tail Wing design as the v-tail design is light, it produce less drag as the v-tail only has one corner between the surface compare to the normal two. Last but not least it acts as a dihedral too. Slide 4: This slide shows some examples of planes that has v-tail wing.
Slide 2 : The picture show us that our design from last year and our lastest glider design,we have change wing with dihedral to to dihedral wing, and the the from stablizer to v-tale wing.
Slide 7: This slide shows the horizontal Design Calculation. It shows the calculation of Main wing surface area, chord length , The distance to C.G and the surface area of the horizontal stabilizer~ :)
