Soaring Si Ling Competition 2010

Greeting Competitors! 

Welcome and really glad that you have decided to take on the challenge and compete in this inter-Si Ling flying competition.

This competition is proudly brought to you be the Design and Technology Unit, SI Ling Secondary School.

You will now commence on a 1hr 30 mins workshop and you will be given a 30 mins preparation for the competition. The competition will commence on this same day at venue and time stipulated in the program schedule.

Assembly presentation on National Air Fix Competition 2010 (The Ngee Ann Challenge)

Huang Yan: Good Morning Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers and fellow schoolmate, My name is Huang Yan, she is Elvina and we are here to present a talk on Si Ling recent win in the National Air Fix Competition 2010 organized by Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Elvina: Our task in this competition is to assemble and present an air fix on the red arrows of the royal air force. Before that, we had done research on the color scheme, their performance on the Internet. Next, we will assemble the parts, spray paint it and place the stickers. 

 

Huang Yan: We have also attended a day workshop at Ngee Ann Poly to prepare our submission work for the competition. During the workshop, we have made couple of errors and has to be correct again and again. Eventually, we realized the solution is to always Study the plan carefully, Check with one another if they were right and lastly building it.

 Elvina: The most challenging work is painting the pilot and putting on the stickers as they are very small and time consuming.

Elvina: Though there were many difficulties, but our aviators has done it once again.

We would like to invite Mr Wong to the stage and Huang Yan, our team leader, will present the trophy to Mr Wong on behalf of the team. Mr Wong please.
